SIP GUIDE: My Favorite Utah Drink Spots☕🥤

  • 3 min read

Recently, the iconic syrup brand, Torani made a stop right here in Riverton with their Treat Truck! We got to sample flavors and make our own custom creations, and honestly, I felt so honored to be invited as a content creator. The whole experience inspired me to finally put together the ULTIMATE sip guide. Keep reading for my favorite dirty soda spots, favorite coffee spots, and a couple of easy dirty soda/sparkling water recipes you can make right at home.

SWIG

Swig would absolutely be my #1 recommendation if you are VISITING Utah. Swig may not seem like a huge deal to Utah locals because we’re so used to it, but we truly take advantage of the fact that we’re home to the original dirty soda. It’s iconic for a reason.

For sparkling water, try the Citrus Sunrise. For Dr Pepper lovers, go with a classic Texas Tab. You really can’t go wrong.

QUENCH IT!

Quench It! is an underrated queen. They have all the classic dirty soda combinations, but do you want to know what makes them elite?

ALANI MOJITOS. Yes, you read that correctly. They take Alani drinks and make them dirty. It's such a beautiful idea, haha! They also have sugar-free options, which I appreciate since Alani is zero sugar. My favorite is the Ocean Breeze: Blush Slush Alani, Sprite, mango, passion fruit, and coconut cream. SO good.

They’re kind of spread out throughout Utah and Salt Lake County, so go find your nearest location ASAP. Bonus points because their snacks are elite too. Dilly Bites, pretzel bites, salty snacks, sweet treats, I always leave with a bag of Dilly Bites.

THIRST

Thirst Drinks used to feel pretty exclusive to Salt Lake, so I couldn’t be happier now that they’ve expanded closer to me. Thirst is always a CLASSIC with the kindest staff. It just feels like a true Utah spot. It’s hard to explain, but every visit feels fun and familiar.

Their fresh beignets paired with their simple, classic dirty soda recipes make this one of my favorite stops.

Make sure you try the Death Star and the Miss Abby with sparkling water. OH, and grab a pretzel dog while you’re there too. Trust me.

COFFEE ☕

When I was seventeen, I already knew coffee was going to become a problem for me, haha. I LOVE finding cute coffee spots around Salt Lake City that actually taste good. We have so many coffee shops around here, but if you’re a little picky like me, these are the places you need to try.

PEACE ON EARTH COFFEE

Maybe you’ve seen this spot on Instagram, but trust me, it’s so much more than just a cute place to take photos. Their café in Riverton is one of my favorite spots to set up with my laptop and zone out for an hour or two. It’s also such a good spot to meet up with friends.

They switch up their menu seasonally, so I find myself changing my chai order almost every time I go. And if you like alcoholic beverages, they serve those during certain hours too!

BJORN’S BREW

Bjorn’s Brew is probably my favorite drive-thru coffee spot in Salt Lake. They have monthly specials, plus teas, smoothies, and little snacks like their protein balls.

I always try to be adventurous and order from the monthly menu, but if nothing is calling my name that month, I get the Sinner’s Latte. Caramel, hazelnut, vanilla latte, with oat milk, of course.

The BEST part about Bjorn’s Brew is how much they do for the dog community in Utah. They help raise money for dogs, support adoptions, and genuinely care about local pups. As a dog mom, I love supporting places like that.

BEANS & BREWS

Beans & Brews Coffeehouse is basically the coffee version of Swig for Utah tourists. If you’re visiting Utah, you HAVE to stop there at least once.

Honestly, Beans & Brews makes me nostalgic because I’ve loved it for that long. Their Caramel Cielo is such a classic and always hits.

Most locations have a drive-thru plus a comfy inside seating area, which makes it another favorite editing/work spot for me. And a little birdie told me they may have something exciting coming soon, and yes, I may or may not be helping create some UGC for it. 👀
